VLA Construction Slides

VLA antennas outside the Antenna Assembly Building, April 1977. NRAO staff quickly realized the vertical ladder from the ground to the steps leading to the area above the azimuth bearing meant it was extremely difficult, if not impossible, for engineers to carry tools and equipment as they climbed. A set of angled stairs was later installed on each antenna to replace the vertical ladders.
