The ALMA Management Advisory Committee (AMAC) will meet in the NRAO Technology Center Auditorium in Charlottesville, Virginia, on March 11 - 12, 2004.
The AMAC was formed to provide advice on the major issues presented to it by the ALMA Board regarding the technical program, cost, and management of the ALMA project, including the management of specific tasks and resources. The AMAC is informed of all progress and developments that occur in the project through periodic reports and briefings provided by the Joint ALMA Office (JAO). AMAC Committee members are drawn from a wide variety of international scientific institutions, and their expertise and recommendations provide invaluable guidance and direction.
Due to the amount of material to be covered during this meeting, the sessions will not be open to the NRAO staff. Al Wootten will be organizing an ALMA Overview and Project Update meeting in the next month. Please watch the News column on the web site for future announcements regarding this special ALMA event.
